About Bead Pixel Art

Bead Pixel Art maps a photo onto a pegboard-sized grid, matches colors to brand palettes (MARD, Perler, Hama, Artkal, Nabbi, IKEA Pyssla), and exports a PNG pattern plus a shopping list with codes and counts. You can crop the frame, knock out a flat background, cap the number of colors, switch cartoon vs detail mapping, show guides and row/column rulers, then paint, fill, erase, undo, and redo on the grid. No account and no paid tier to unlock export.

Typical long-edge sizes are 29, 50, 58, and 87 beads (with a custom slider for sizes in between). The short edge follows your photo’s aspect ratio so the board matches what you actually want to build, not a fixed crop that throws away ears or logos.

Bead projects often use personal photos—pets, kids, family trips, private commissions. Conversion runs in your browser so the image bytes never need to hit our servers for mapping. That also keeps iteration fast: change board size, brand palette, max colors, or background tolerance and the grid remaps immediately, which makes trial and error less painful than waiting on an upload queue.

Palette RGB values are planning approximations from public chart data, not an official manufacturer warranty. Screens, room light, and plastic pigments disagree. Double-check codes against beads in your trays under real light before large purchases, and buy a little extra of common colors (whites and light greys show up often).
